 My brother's dog is called Tess.
On Sunday she went to the Park.
The Titanic sank in 1912 Toby and Mark are going to Spain in March.
Martha took her children to the Zoo Yesterday. When I went to the Shop I got some crisps.
Sameera and I are going to town on Friday.
Did you sell buns at the Fair?
My mum has a cat he is called Tom.
 Have you got a dress for the Prom?
 One warm sunny day Jessica and Lily went to the Zoo when they arrived they visited the monkeys.
I like the Zoo said Jessica Lily looked up and saw a monkey had stolen her lunchbox.
 ¨Do we have any money to buy more food?¨ asked Jessica.
 Lilly replied ¨No we don't have any money to buy more food¨.
 ¨Don't worry girls¨ said a voice that called behind them it was the Zookeeper who was holding her lunchbox with a big smile.

Explain Writing: Marae

This is my Explain writing and my Assessment

There is a special place in the community that is important to everyone. That place is the marae. Why is the marae a special place the community?

Marae are special because they can hold our taonga.  When people walk in a marae they see lots of photos of tupuna on the wall. This helps them to remember their memories. It also helps them to remember the history and the stories of whanau and the community.

A marae is special because it is a place where people can say goodbye to someone who died.  It is a place to cry to the person you loved and who died. It is a place to awhi people who are sad. This is when people share their aroha and their awhi to help people.

A Marae is special because it is a place to learn.  We can learn Te Reo Maori, Kapa Haka, to help each other and to learn great teamwork. Everyone helps to cook the food, to set up the tables, to do the dishes and vacuum the floor. It is a great way to build relationships and to make connections with each other.
