One Shot Film Challenge - "Chunky"

Chunky
My first movie that I made on a site called "WeVideo"

WALT:
Experiment with different camera shots
Success Criteria:  I will use
*A close-up, birds eye, wide, high angle, low angle and over the shoulder shot.
*Audio to set the tone of the movie
*WeVideo to edit certain clips/shots that I would want to change

This is an image of me while I was making the film:
My Reflection:
Really what helped me complete my project was with the editing I discovered when you click on the three bars on each clip. I used this to do the old close in camera trick on one of the clips that you could see quite clearly on the second to last clip,
which really helped me to make a video like this. The editor tool is the best tool in WeVideo in my opinion....

Persuasive Writing

Students should be allowed to type out their work.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Introduction:

Every student loves to type out work on their computer, chromebook, tablet or even IMac. What if students were banned from typing on their precious device though?  Students need access to digital devices to get their work done quickly. Typing is an easier method to read, and it is the 21st century where we have grown up surrounded by digital devices.

Body:

If you were not allowed to type out your work you would not be able to write on a document - like this one.  You wouldn't be able to create a slideshow or in many cases have access to read-write, and text to speech apps that help students get their ideas down quickly. Having access to a digital device amplifyś the learning that students receive and share with others.

Handwriting and knowing how to write your letters is very important, particularly for new entrant students.  You need this skill to fill out important documents such as applying for a license, or filling out job applications.  However, this is a very small percentage of documents.  What if your handwriting was illegible?  People would struggle to read what you wrote.  Being able to type eliminates this problem.

Students don't like writing on books or paper.  Therefore, students are more likely to get bored and probably get no motivation to do anything while the writing block continues.  This is our reality.  We have grown up in a digital world, where we don't even know what pen and paper writing was like traditionally.  It's weird to imagine going back to that.

Conclusion:

Learning important skills such as handwriting is very important.  It helps recognise letters and words.  We need this as we first come into school.  However, I believe it is not needed as you get older.  We now live in a digital world that needs us to be able to type our words and thoughts.

Peehikuru: TukuTuku Panel

We are learning how to use art to tell a story.

To be successful we had to reflect on our art work and share our thinking about the colours we chose and the designs we created and how they represent our whanau and whakapapa.

Peehikuru Absalom: How is a Spider Web Formed??

How is a Spider Web formed?:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A Spider's web is made up from the silk that a Spider can produce. But have you ever wondered how a web is formed?

  • First the spider finds two tall and skinny objects or one branch each off of two trees, then they make a silk thread along the two objects forming a straight line of silk called a bridge. On a Spider’s back, it has organs called spinnerets that produce the silk.

  • Next it releases a loose thread under the bridge, after they release the loose thread they then go into the middle of the loose thread and they make another thread under it, forming a ¨Y like¨ shape under the bridge.

  • After that it joins the three points to form a frame, it then lays racial threads until the web gets stronger and Stronger. Finally the spider goes into the center of the web and then it spins it’s silk spirally finishing the web.

The silky and tough work is now complete for the spider. So that the spider can now catch food and rest in its new home called the web.
