Recount Writing-The weekend

I am learning to use the correct structure for Recount Writing.
The weekend

On the weekend we went to Nanny Hana’s house with
Nan and my sister.
We played outside. We were playing tag.
Our cousin was the tagger. We ran away.
Next we went for a walk to the beach. We found a dead
kiwi so I pretended I didn't see that.
We found items at the beach.
I made a stuff with the items.
After that we found shells. They were so cool.
Then we went inside. We were having lunch.
The next day when my sister was horse riding we were
inside. We were playing stacking. At night we were
playing stacking again. The next day we went home.
I said, "That was a fun weekend."

The holidays

In the holidays, me, my sister, dad and mum
went to Aunty Mara’s house.
I was so excited because our cousins were there.

I said, “Hello.” We played with the toys
and we played hide and seek and we played other things.
Later we went to see baby Heidi at the cemetery.
The next day we went to TeAho’s house.
We were watching a movie on the television.
We were watching White Fang.

The next day we were playing tag outside.
We were having fun at night.
We were watching How to train your dragon 3.
It was a good movie.

The next day we went to mum’s house.
Papa and nana were there and my cousins.
At night we were watching half of the movie
Captain Marvel on nana’s phone.

The next day  we went to sleep at TeAho’s house
and it was TeAho’s birthday.
We had fun. We played games inside because it was raining.
It was fun playing the games. The next day we went home.

My favourite parts of the holiday were
TeAho’s birthday and Aunty Mara’s house.

I had good a holiday.

Goals from Term 1

In Term 1 I achieved my goals in writing reading and maths.

I did not achieve my goals in spelling.

Recount Writing-Going to a circus.

I am learning to add interesting words to my Recount writing.
On Thursday me, dad, mum, my sister, Nan and my cousins were going to a circus. We were so excited.
First we went to Kaikohe because the circus was there.
But we had to wait. It took 10 minutes until it started.
I was bored and then it started. I was so so excited.
I saw magic and I thought magic was not real.
I was amazed at what I was watching.
After the circus we went home.
We were playing when we got home.
I said, "That circus was amazing. I want to go there again.’’
